Jacqueline Jacqué studied Art History at the University of Strasbourg under the supervision of Professor Louis Grodecki. On the sequence of an internship at the Musée de l’impression sur Etoffes de Mulhouse, she became Assistant Conservator and Conservator in 1973. She worked until November 2009 in the same Museum. Supported by the Museum team, she organized more than thirty exhibitions on the history of printing, from the most diverse angles: production techniques, dye chemistry, designers, designs, publishing catalogs of the exhibitions. She has collaborated with many museums that deal with this specific area in France and abroad. Jacqué worked in the transformation of this venerable institution into a modern museum with major works, which took place between 2004 and 2007. She completed and enriched a unique ancient collection, turning it into a worldwide reference. She tried to share her interest in textile printing both with students and with textile professionals, through courses and seminars.
