With the aim of investigating Ibon Aranberri's oeuvre, curator Roger M. Buergel and the basque artist will propose a public talk, following a long professional collaboration.
Among the projects they've been working on together: How do we want to be governed? (MACBA, Barcelona, 2004); documenta 12 (Kassel, 2007); Garden of Learning (Busan Biennale, 2012); Suzhou documents (Suzhou, 2016); and the seminar Why Archives? (IASPIS, Stockholm, 2005).
A guided tour of the exhibition Quaderno del campo, opened on July 11th and part of Microclima Variabile (XXVIII CSAV - Artists’ Research Laboratory), will follow.
Roger M. Buergel runs an espresso bar in Trastevere, Rome. He has an extraordinary collection of postcards from around the world showing rainclouds. The collection is displayed every April at full moon in Piazza del Popolo. Roger loves spending his vacations with his family on the Amalfi Coast.
Ibon Aranberri (b. 1969) lives in the Basque Country – Spain and works in situ.
